triathlete new to X-fit

I'll start my workout log from today,

I wanted to do a long run today, 6-7 miles, it just was too hot! ran hills...a little over 3 miles- 5K. it took about 31 minutes, my max heartrate was 189. (hit it on my last hill). I was slightly sore from yesterdays x-fit workout and spin class (3 this week)
x-fit workout on Friday
jump rope 1 min
15 pushups
15 pull ups
15 sit ups
x3 reps
sit ups with wall ball? not sure exactly to call what we did.? total 21 sit ups
don't know the time but I'll start keeping track.
My left ankle hurting just a little (chronic injury)

Total hours of training this week: 8 hours, I would like to be a higher number....x-fit is taking alot out of me, I believe the end result will be worth it!
Sunday will be a rest day!!!

Re: triathlete new to X-fit

Teri, it is great to see you have finally started a log. Your story is great and should be told.

Teri and her better half got started with Crossfit at my affiliate through a FGB challenge. We exchanged playful remarks regarding our different fitness regiments on Facebook and after a few rounds of banter; I challenged Mr. Spence to a FGB challenge against one of my training apprentices. Believe it or not, Mr. Spence beat my Crossfitter of 1 yr in the FGB challenge by 10 (or so) points! This is a testament to the Spenceís mental toughness because as far as I know, Mr. Spence has never done any of the FGB exercises before. Since we lost the FGB challenge, my two trainer apprentices and I have to complete a Triathlon relay next year with the Spenceís. The good news is that even though we lost the FGB challenge we gained new training partners and they have really taken to Crossfit. The best part of the Spenceís Crossfit story hasnít yet been written. Later on, after the Spenceís become Crossfit superstars I look forward to seeing PR Triathlon times! Welcome to the board Teri! We will see you in the gym Monday!

Saturday was a rest day for me. Celabrated the 4th of July and ate too much!

Today Shawn and I rode our local bike course 17 miles, 56 min averaged about 17.5mph. Shawn did amazing! He has improved at least by 50%.

After our bike ride, I ran 4 miles: hills, it took about 40 minutes, it rained the whole time which was great! It kept me cool.

So I guess I need to get up with you all some time and start riding a bike again. I hear you are the expert in your family on that.
