Oly Comp NYC 3/15!!!

Lost Battalion Hall, the Mecca of Weightlifting will be hosting an Olympic weightlifting meet on Saturday, March 15 in Queens, NYC.

See the best lifters in the tri state area hoist the heavy crap, along with new lifters bustin' their cherries and taking it to the platform for the first time, and everything in between.

Info/directions: http://www.lostbattalionhallweightli...g/location.htm

Re: Oly Comp NYC 3/15!!!

The schedule for the Larry Mintz Memorial on the 15th:

Class / Competition Time
All Women / 10:00AM
Menís 56, 62, 69, 77, & 85 / 11:30AM
Menís 94, 105, +105 / 1:00PM

For anyone driving there, a reminder NOT to park in the adjacent Burger King lot -- they tend to have offending cars towed away rather promptly.

Re: Oly Comp NYC 3/15!!!

Hey Allison!
Our team isn't running this meet, but I'm 99% sure it's not too late (I usually enter these things at the very last minute). All ages and abilities are more than welcome.

Only requirements are current USAW membership (you can sign up online or at the meet), entry fee, and 1 piece singlet. I'll see if I can find an entry form and post it here for anyone who may be interested.

Yup you gotta get a singlet if you're gonna compete, and WL shoes are pretty vital too!

I think because they enable a full range of motion and facilitate judging of a lift (knee touches, elbow touches, pressouts, illegal supportive gear, and from the days of the strict press, knee bend). Lincoln probably knows for sure.
