Parkour is really not that rebellious..the only thing rebellious about it is jumping on things that most people don't jump on.

I don't like to be associated with the same "druggie skateboarder" crowd. I used to be one of those (minus the druggie part) a LONG time ago and believe me, Traceurs and Skateboarders are not THAT alike

Not as much as you'd think. I've put people through drills on a wall such as:

Jump to the wall (cat)
climb up (like a muscle up)
climb down (back to hanging),
climb up,
QM (quadrupedal movement) across to the other side of the wall,
climb down,
climb up,
climb down,
off.

I made all of our people do this for time, and it became a kind of mini-competition. Everyone wanted to be the fastest. But also, next time we did it, people could see if they improved or not.

"5 kongs, 3 vaults and then climb 2 buildings for time" is also no different than an obstacle course. You're just requiring what they have to do, instead of letting it be freeform.
