Newbie question on competitions

Where do you go or how do you find local competitions?

I am training but have not figured this part out yet. I cover the southeastern US, for work, so traveling to compete is not an issue.

Re: Newbie question on competitions

There's no real centralized place to look for competitions. You just have to keep your ear to the ground to see what's going on in your area. My advice would be to get on Facebook and Friend or Like as many affiliates in your region as possible, then you will be more likely to hear about upcoming events as they are announced. Also, find out what the big annual events in your area are and who runs them; follow their Facebook pages or blogs to see when registration opens.

I guess I need a fb page again....lol It does make sense though to find all the local affiliates and get in contact with them.

Re: Newbie question on competitions

Check out these facebook groups:

(should be WFS, but it's facebook, there can always be raunchy spam...)

Florida CrossFit Affiliate Events
https://www.facebook.com/groups/184242738260067/

SC CrossFit Affiliate Events
https://www.facebook.com/groups/147628825385930/

I don't see a Georgia one, but at least these are southeast.
