My diet doesn't consist of any starches other than sweet potatoes. I eat about 2 or so a week. Just wanted to know what some of you thought about them? The good the bad etc?

Personally I think they are fantastic. A great way to get dense carb blocks from a vegetable without eating 22 cups of lettuce.

Any particular reason to limit their consumption? I would have no problem eating them every other day

Why not eat them everyday? No harm in that, lovely food source.

Yams are the same thing as a sweet potato. Yam is just a slang term that is still used.

I watche an entire episode of "Good Eats" with Alton Brown on the Sweet Potato.

They are like dessert for me. Excellent taste and sweet too! I usually split one between two meals since they are large and higher gi.
