That would be perfect. Plus it allows you attachment points for bands.

Re: My day with Rick Scarpulla of Ultimate Advantage (Westside 4 Athletes)

I did Incline Bench Press for my ME Upper. Actually did it Sunday afternoon due to my schedule. Previous 1RM was 145#. I tried 145# and it felt light. Then tried 165# and it went up pretty easy. I then said the hell with it and tried 185#. I told my co-worker (spotter) that I wouldn't be able to do it, but I was wrong. Felt very good. Metcon was kind of brutal though.

Hers my thoughts on PR's
You should constantly be moving foward and breaking old PR's if not it means a change of assistance work is due. It is the assistance work that blosters the growth for the main lifts or in this case CF events. It is the same theroy. By using proper choices on your assistance you will continue with growth.

It does not matter what event you want to get better at proper assistance work is the key as well as proper technique
Train Hard -Train Smart

20# PR on the free Squats today. I think I had more in me, but I'll take it.

Re: My day with Rick Scarpulla of Ultimate Advantage (Westside 4 Athletes)

Spent another day with Rick and his crew up at Ultimate Advantage. We did some Floor Presses, which is the first time I did them and it took some getting use to. I did 245#, which is the heaviest form of benching I've done. I have a long way to reach Rick's 495#, which was the best of the group. We then moved to the assistance work where I was able to do some Dumbbell Bench Presses with 95# dumbbells. Nevere tried anything heavier than 70# before.

It was another great experience and I'm learning every time I go up there.

Nice work Paulo! I got a chance to talk to Rick on the phone this evening, super helpful and a real genuine guy. He definitely opened my mind when it comes to training, it made me want to hit the gym right then!
