I am going to attach a Point of contact between two trees in My yard to mount Rings and also a Climbing Rope. I also may use this to suspend a heavy bag. I am contemplating using either standard chain or Nylon webbing from a climbing outfitter. any suggestions or comments?

Plan for something removable if you are going to use nylon. UV will make it brittle over time. (That goes for any polymer). With chain you'll have the rust issue, unless you use stainless or other corosion resistat metal.

As a candidate for Plan C, you can get some tubular nylon webbing as for climbing, and then run rope through it. the webbing prevents rope wear and tree damage due to friction and prevents rope degradation due to UV.

I suppose for the house I am currently in I will go the route of the Nylon Webbing. I am also going to add a point at my parents home for when I visit adn as thier home is more permanent than my current situation I may use a stainless chain. thansk for thr thoughts
