Re: marijuana, paleo, and training
I've heard that inhaling particulate matter into your lungs can damage them, with the obvious impact on respiration and performance (rest, sleep, fighting infection, etc). I'd also imagine that getting this stuff you'd burn and inhale from a dude you know down the street would be a great way to have no idea what's really in it. Maybe not the brightest move ever made...

Re: marijuana, paleo, and training
pot is bad for your workouts...
1. it is a carcinogen just like cigarettes are and therefore is bad for you. 2. it kills brain cells and therefore won't help you focus better 3. it makes you lazy. lazy people exercise less any benefits... possibly it increases your appetite: well if you are looking to put on some weight and are having trouble eating more it could help. but why use something ellegal to do that with when there are perfectly legal supplements that can do that for you already that don't have the 3 side effects mentioned above. it helps kill pain: if you are in so much pain perhaps you should address what is causing your pain before continuing to train. on a side note both fish oil and glucosamine are known to help with joint pain. no pun intended, lol. want more focus: put away the pot and get a pre-workout supplement. shotgun, no explode, jack 3d, hemmo-rage. these are all products which will help your weight lifting. although I caution you not to use these with cardio workouts as they are not intended for them. also perhaps if you are losing focus you should reexamine your fitness goals and find another way of simply motivating yourself to reach your goals. good luck |

2. Wrong. 3. Wrong, having a weak mind and/or a impaired metabolism makes you lazy, marijuana might enhance that effect in certain people, in others it has the opposite effect. As for you opinions on appetite and pain relief, well go tell that to a cancer patient using medical marijuana and see what kind of response you get. Also its "illegal" not "ellegal" |

Alcohol and weed do not "kill brain cells", they temporarily impair them. Chronic usage and heavy doses can damage them (brain damage). If you drink alcohol I'm sure you'll notice that different types, such as hard liquor, wine, beer, have different effects on you ("Tequila makes me want to take my clothes off!"). Same goes for marijuana. There are different strands with various levels of THC and cannabinoids causing different effects on you (other factors include your tolerance and the amount smoked). |
