Re: CrossFit Masters and Seniors

Hey Wayne - not too surprised the numbers are slipping a bit - after 8 years you may have "peaked" but the fact is compared to many people in their 30's you'd most likely kick butt (talking about regular gym folk, not CF'ers) - as far as recovery, again - age... and flexibility - age again.

But fear not - CF is a lifelong battle - decreases are expected as you get older.

Re: CrossFit Masters and Seniors

Age-61. I discovered CF in August 2005.
CrossFit has improved all aspects of my fitness, health and performance.
For me, the greatest benefit of CrossFit as I age is psychological and how CF influences my recovery and rehab from my age related surgeries.
I have had many sports injuries during my life and genetically, I have arthritis. I have had both knees and both shoulders replaced. (Lt knee-2008,lt shoulder 2010, rt knee and rt shoulder 2012)
Thanks to CF, my outlook has been, "Thanks to CF, I'll be back to 100% in no time!"
CF gives me faith and hope.

Re: CrossFit Masters and Seniors

age 62
started CF aged 58..woohoo. best thing that has ever happened for me. I am loving the journey ( will add so it my masseuse and physio.. i am adding to their accumulation of wealth )

Stronger, more agile, more confidence, braver, can now do strict pullups, 9.39 for karne, DU's have finally graced me with their presence... i can shimmy up a rope with all the grace of a three legged possum and more importantly get down again..

all sorts of stuff that non CF folks keep saying are not good for someone my age... some of these people are barely able to functiuon in day to day life...

you don't drown by falling into water. you drown by staying there. Edwin Louis Cole
