Most effective full body exercises?

What do you guys think are the best full body exercises?

Which exercises encompass the most muscle groups at once and provide the best total body workout?

Re: Most effective full body exercises?

If you could only do one exercise for the rest of your life, and im not counting sports like Jason, then I would pick back squat.

Re: Most effective full body exercises?

I think I would pick thrusters with clean press a close second.

The Total Body Destroyer. I learned this one when I was stationed in Alaska. And I quote,"Prolonged use of this exercise will lead to complete muscle breakdown."

Re: Most effective full body exercises?

clean and jerk is the most obvious choice in my opinion. (full squat)

the C+J has
a pull from the ground
a squat
a push with the arms
and a pull with the arms (granted this pull with the arms shouldnt be a lot if any)

but still its the only "full" body workout.
