Furminator pet grooming tool

It's that time of year when my long haired cat Mini sheds so much I can hardly breathe or eat without ingesting feline hairballs. No amount of combing or brushing seemed to make any difference and he didn't enjoy the process either. He's generally very good natured, but his attacks on the comb while having his belly groomed were not playful and they hurt. I wasn't looking forward to the annual carnage.

Fortunately I had the chance to use a grooming gadget named the Furminator while visiting Lynne. I was so impressed at the amount of hair I was able to quickly remove from her cats that I purchased one for myself through Amazon (much less expensive than a pet store).

Mini LOVES this comb. No fussing, no fighting - instead he purrs and makes "happy hands" while willingly encouraging his belly, trousers and tail to be throughly groomed. I have removed at least one additional cat from Mini during each 10 minute session; I stopped because the amount of hair covering my hands, shirt and carpet was out of control - not because Mini was protesting and I was bleeding from flailing claws.

The Furminator removes a lot of loose hair from my Siamese cats too, although they don't seem to enjoy it as much as Mini. I might have to groom them using tabata intervals
