Pics of my building, future site of Crossfit SLA

I just signed the lease on my place yesterday and here are a few before pics. Will be ordering my equipment next week and had the guy come look today about fabricating my pullup bars. I'm pretty psyched, everything is coming together very nicely. I was lucky to find a brand new building in a great area also. i hope to be up and running by mid-march.

Nice box dude! What are you going to use the front office area for? Noticed a lot of the industrial layouts around here had the same frontal area arrangement. I'd probably knock every wall down that wasn't a bathroom to maximize space efficiency.

These people don't even want me drilling holes in the wall much less knocking them down. Luckily the only holes that need drilling are on the beams for the pull up bars. hey, the lease says no drilling in the wall or floor, never said anything about the support beams.LOL I will use one office for an administrative office, another I will probably rent out to a massage therapist and there is a large office just off the warehouse that I will use for my rowers, treadmills and GHD's and probably throw some lockers in there also.

Sweet set up Joe! Looks like the perfect box set up. Wish I could find one like that out here in Vegas. How much SQ FT of that is warehouse/office? Is there any room outside the garage door for sprints or such in addition to what is shown? Just curious.

Best of luck with the new box.

Re: Pics of my building, future site of Crossfit SLA

Thanks a lot guys.

It's 1500 SF all together, 700 warehouse and 800 office. The office closest to the warehouse is about 200 SF , I plan on utilizing that office as training space also, so that will give me 900 total training space. It seems so much bigger though, the 20 ft ceilings really make it feel big. That back lot is great , its about a city block long and is usually empty, so that give me endless possibilities. There is very little traffic from the other businesses. There is also a big park with about six soccer fields right down the street. I really lucked out finding this space, it was actually the first one I looked at . Another great thing is it's about 2 minutes from my house.

Re: Pics of my building, future site of Crossfit SLA

Nice work! You stated how big the place feels because of the high ceilings. You'll be amazed @ how quickly the place starts to shrink as you begin to fill it with equipment. Kind of like when framing a house, the floor plan seem huge until the sheet rock goes up & then it starts to show itself a little more. Sounds like it's gonna' be a great space. You should do a killer CF painting or mural on the back wall that you can see from outside when the bay door is open. Do it before you start filling the place with equipment. Good luck!!!
