Hey everyone,

I just found out about the site a few days ago, and I'm hooked...

My question/problem is I can't view the video of the muscle up. Can anyone explain it?

From what I've read so far, it sounds like you start at a dead hang from rings & end in top position of a dip. Am I close?

thanks...

Hello Jason,

You're exactly correct.

The hard part is the transition (getting from below, to above, the rings).

You need to use what's called a "false grip" (put that phrase into CrossFit search functionality on the main page, and you'll see a lot of discussion around this point). Essentially, it's a way of wrapping your wrists over the ring (while still holding on with your hands) that eases the transition.

The other trick is to make sure the rings are very close to your body (practically touching your collarbones) as you start to make the transition.

They're tough, but amazing training . ..

Welcome!

Thanks Dave

I'll be heading out this weekend to pick some rings up so I can get to work on these...
