Tires

Where the hell can I get one? I searched the forum, but no real clarity on what I'm looking for.

Where/How did everyone get their tires? I need a bigger one!

Re: Tires

Go to whatever is a popular tire change chain outlet in your area and ask them where their main disposal lot is. Then go there and ask them for whatever size tire/s you are looking for.

I would guess that they will give you the tire/s for free since that is what they will do at many places. Maybe they will charge you a small fee but I have never heard of this happening.

Bring a vehicle you can get the tire into or a trailer.

I think the guys working there love to see dudes trying to get giant tires into their trucks so everything should go splendidly.

Re: Tires

I got one two weeks ago. I was in for a tire change and asked the guy at the desk. He took me out to where they keep their discards and told me to take whatever I wanted. I can post a pic of my setup if you like... Free is always a good price

Re: Tires

Most shops will deliver it to you for free since it costs less than disposing. We have 250, 450, and 1000 pounds. Here's a picture of the 1000 pound:

Re: Tires

Wow!! I was not thinking that big. My tires are whacking tires, not flipping tires. Sorry... Now that you mention it, though, I do want a flipper.

Re: Tires

We have the access to used Airplaine tires- C-130's. They weigh 275-300 lbs new. They are a perfect size to flip around a parking lot or park by yourself. We set up our "Tire Challenge" every friday at the end of work where we flip this tire and perform workouts (pushups, burpees, sledge hammer hits, and GHD situps) through out the flip.

It's all good fun.
