Cool. I'm wondering when he lost his green skin tone and learned to speak in complete sentences :-)

That stick thing seems interesting. I wonder if there is a resource for that?

I need to get a log. That wreslters ab drill will be added to the arsenal. I like the sticks. Has anyone ever tried this?

Not me. You can, of course, do the same thing with rings. It just looks like the set up may be a bit easier, and the angle would be slightly different.

Some prominent bodybuilder made the ring flyes famous. I will sometimes do sets where I do a ring pushup, then push the rings out and back in, then do another pushup, then push them up and back. You really feel it in your pecs quickly.

Crossfit is not a bodybuilding program, but I think if people added that one exercise, and daily sets of our many ab exercises (my current personal favorites are Glute-Ham situps, and Hollow Rocks), and HSPU work, you'd have a pretty chiseled body, with the WOD.

The sticks are called "picas" (named after the sword used to finish off the bull in a bullfight). You can find training exercises for them in old-time (i.e., pre-1950's) gymnastics or fitness books. One example (not quite that old) is Bonnie Prudden's "Teenage Fitness" which is still in print. Lots of very old-fashioned advice about fitness, some of it very, very sensible.

Interesting workout. How long do you think the poles need to be? Reminds me of Sheut in that 80s wrestling movie Visionquest. I saw Brock Lesnar wrestle for the U of MN and he was that big then.
