The only thing I remember is Irving Hernandez and the CTB pull-ups - HOLY CRAP that was fast! Saw a clip of him doing burpees, and it's just as impressive.

yes Irv was the MVP of the night for sure. C2B 40 reps in under 35 seconds.. freaky to say the least.. then he did it again 4 min later. His D/U's were fast... 90 in 40 seconds.. Wow.. Heck I would settle for a Double under match both Max in 60 seconds and a max unbroken.

Re: Have we all seen this yet?

Yeah i totally agree that things are happening so fast that you can't really follow everything properly.

Also you can't really see how each athlete is truly performing in each workout unless they are the one finishing off at the end and running over the line.

They have good presentation and the base of something decent, just need a bit of tweaking.

E.g. starting one of the events with a mile or so run around Manhattan would have been awesome

Re: Have we all seen this yet?

I have to say that overall, I really enjoyed watching the event. Yes it was too fast and furious, yes it was hard to follow. That can all be tweaked on and worked out. It was comical to see them throwing the wrong flags and see how they all worked as a team, New York was definitely better prepared/coached in that aspect. It was interesting to see that NY had "specialized" teammates like Hernandez for body weight movements, Sidell for rope climbs, Muhamed and rope climbs/box jumps. It kinda takes away from the "overall" best athlete and makes it a sum of the parts type thing. Rich Froning would do well in this competition but he's not beating Hernandez in C2B or Muhamed up the rope so it was different than the Games from that perspective. I'll watch it tho, it'll be fun to see Fraser, Valenzuela and Annie and the like competing more than once or twice a year.
