Smelly bumpers

I've got a set of Wright bumpers and after 1 year they still stink to high heaven. The smell is so bad that it just penetrates into everything. I've tried baking soda, leaving them out in the sun, pine oil...nothing works. In fact, I think the smell is actually a living organism and is gaining strength everyday.

Anyone got any tricks for de-stinkifying bumpers?

Re: Smelly bumpers

I have not tried this with the bumpers but it works great with smoke and pet "accidents" (as well as child accidents) and it probably worth a try.

Get some whole cloves and put them in some pantyhose or a sock. Leave them sit with the bumpers. It will take some time but the cloves will begin to absorb the ordor. Also leavign them out in ths sun for a day should help.

The ones I used smelled like they had been in a house fire.
