When I tried the Wednesday 060531 WOD (Hang squat cleans) I found I had no idea how to perform the movement correctly. It kept trying to be a power clean. Using just the bar didn't help and I couldn't see how slowing down a bad movement would help me either.
Today I searched the site for tips. I found and printed the GET UP! summary of Mike Burgener's warmup and brought it to the gym.
Very helpful! The simple component movements helped me understand an actual snatch (or clean) sequence and I was surprised how much a broomstick and an empty bar engaged my muscles. I plan to sub this for the CFWU for a while to engrain those motions.
I'm not at an elite level, but I'm really benefiting from this site. I turn 40 next month and hope to set some new benchmarks for myself to beat in the coming year.
