Task:

With a continuously running clock do one pull-up the first minute, two pull-ups the second minute, three pull-ups the third minute... continuing as long as you are able.

Use as many sets each minute as needed.

number of minutes: 13 minutes

didn't realize that i could split up the reps into sets during the minute. got 9 straight reps on the 14th minute, figured that because i didn't do 14 straight that the workout was over. i could have done more. next time...

Shoulder Press:
185# x 1

Deadlift:
315# x 1
355# x 1
360# x 1 (PR)
365# x miss

Total: 355 + 185 + 360 = 910!

when i was doing my deadlift a professional powerlifter that trains at my globo asked if he can work-in with me. i said of course. now i've spotted this guy when he was bench pressing 500#+. he can deadlift 600#+ and back squat the same. he said he was going light today and i asked what weight was light for him, he nonchalantly said 3 plates. i laughed and told him that that was my 1RM so it would be perfect for him to work-in. he gave me some great pointers on how to properly approach the deadlift. i don't know if it was his coaching or me trying not to look weak but i managed to hit a new PR on my deadlift by 25#. it was great!

Five rounds for time of:
Run 400 meters
30 Box jump, 24 inch box
30 Wall ball shots, 20 pound ball

scaled to:
3 rounds of:
Run 400 meters (treadmill 2 degree incline)
30 Box jump, 24 inch box
30 Thrusters 30# bar

time = 21:39

Kelly is a killer. first round was fine, then i got back to the treadmill and it felt as if my legs weighed 100# each. my hip flexors and quads were pumped and did not want to relax. needless-to-say the second and third rounds of running were split into walking and running

Soooo....
been a long time since i have posted my WODs. during this time i have been through many ups and downs mainly due to injuries.
1. stress fracture left foot - 1.5 to 2 months
2. patellar tendon strain - 1 month before level one cert.
3. strained wrist - still recovering

i have been in the gym doing workouts here and there but fell out of posting because the training sessions were few and far between.

I just finished the Crossfit level one cert this weekend in toronto and i am in pain from head to toe. i wish i could have done better but i was so deconditioned by the month's hiatous that i sucked at the WODs. i know now that i really have to work on my running.

well now i'm back with a vengence. my body is in pain and i am loving every minute of it. i cant afford to fall off again, time to train hard and smart again.

thanks to all the coaches that came up to canada Pat, Andrew, E.C, Chuck, Joe, John, and Andrea you guys were great.
