was supposed to complete Tommy V WOD but was not mentally into the workout...

instead i decided to practice my snatches and clean & jerks again...

heres how it went:

snatch:
45# x 5
85# x 4

clean & jerk, behind neck jerk (x2):
95# x 3
115# x 3
135# x 3
155# x 3

feeling a lot more energized today... completed Tommy V. the towel pullups were bananas!

scaled to:
21 - 15 - 9
95# thruster
towel pullups

Time = 8:15

1st set towel pullups 5, 3, 2, 1. then jumping pullups to complete rest of set and following sets.

i know i should have done more towel ups but my elbow really started to aggravate me. maybe its an excuse because it was very difficult. my forearms never knew pain until today! will atone for my slacking tonite when i complete Michael as Rx'd!

Run 800 meters (treadmill 1st round 6.5, 2nd 6.5, 6.0, 3rd 6.0)
50 Back Extensions
50 Sit-ups (feet anchored)

Time = 29:02

the run wasn't so bad this time. completed first 2 rounds of running without a break. 3rd round i walked twice for 10 sec. hardest part was last round of sit-ups. i wasn't too excited about this workout cause running is not my strong suit, but after completing the WOD i felt amazing! great start to my day!

Complete as many rounds in 20 minutes as you can of:
Run 400 meters
Max rep Pull-ups

Completed:

5.5 rounds:
400m (treadmill: first 3 rounds at 6.5, broken last 3 rounds 6.5, 6.0, 5.5 with 10s walks)
Pullups: 26, 15, 14, 10, 12

did this workout after my buddy Reeza and I closed the gym. Got to play my training tracks on the p.a. system, mostly consisting of the group Disturbed and some tracks from Rocky. Big shout out to Reeza and Namita, thanks for the motivation!

2 Muscle-ups
4 Handstand Push-ups
8 2-Pood Kettlebell swings

scaled to:

6 pullups
6 dips
4 hand stand pushups (heels against a wall Jenn spotting shins)
8 24kg kettlebell swings

total: 11 rounds in 15 minutes

PR by 2.5 rounds!!!

Rest day

after watching AllisonNYC's video i decided to try bar muscle-ups today and see if i can finally get it. i was able to coach many people at my globo gym to do them but never mastered them myself.... until today!

it took about 15 tries and then finally... I GOT IT!! it was the most amazing feeling in the world! i ended up showing everyone i knew that i could do one. i must have done 15 muscle-ups today!

now to try the ring muscle-ups!!!

skipped fight gone bad because of sore upper body, especially upper back and arms because of all the muscle-ups i have been doing in the passed 2 days... completed todays WOD. heres how it went:

Task:

Four rounds for time:
Run 400 meters
Rest 2 minutes

completed:

treadmill 2 degree incline

Round 1 - 1:46 (speed = 9.0)
Round 2 - 1:34 (speed = 9.9, 9.0)
Round 3 - 1:42 (speed = 9.0)
Round 4 - 1:39 (speed = 9.0)

Total time = 12:41

i was real surprised that i could run at 9.0 for the whole workout!
