Task:

complete as many rounds in twenty minutes as you can of:

2 Muscle-ups
4 Handstand Push-ups
8 2-Pood Kettlebell swings

scaled to:

6 pullups
6 dips
4 hand stand pushups (heels against a wall Andrea spotting shins)
8 24kg kettlebell swings

total sets: 8 full sets plus 6 pullups and 6 dips in 15 minutes

loved the handstand pushups! my goal by March 1st is to do a handstand without anyone else (or a wall) supporting me.

I was also scared of the KB swings because I threw out my back the first week I bought my 24kg Kettlebell. But everything went well!

Rest day:

Stretching!!!!!

I have always hated rest days but since starting CrossFit training I appreciate them much more. Man are my muscles ever sore! Gotta love it!

Plans got screwed up! was looking forward to rowing 5k today and beat my old time. ended up having a nose bleed that did not stop for more than 10 min. paramedics came, took my bp and told me that it was 190/110. took me to the hospital to make sure i wouldnt have an aneurysm. i have a history of high blood pressure and have also suffered a heart attack due to my unmedicated high bp and extremely intense workouts. i have been medicated since april and this is the first time in a long time that this has happened. think i'll relax for today and get back to the WOD on monday. three days is enough rest. cant wait till tomorrow!

okay!

after having spoken to many people and them telling me that i should take it easy i still feel that i can workout... but they have done their job and have managed to put some fear into me.

i take a look at tomorrows WOD and....

DAMN! 1RM front squats! my favourite exercise! and one of the most scariest to do especially with my heart problem. (valsalva maneuver and all). my cardiologist told me that i should never lift heavy again. of course i didnt listen to him (just look at my push jerk 3RM and deadlift 1RM) but with yesterday's incident i think i should listen to everyone and relax. i feel like a ***** but even though i say i wouldnt mind dying in the gym doing what i love... i still dont really want to die.

but we shall see. you never know what tomorrow brings. maybe there will be a post tomorrow with my front squat 1RM results or maybe another rant about how i hate being on the disabled list.

one things for sure though. i always make it back to the one thing i truly love... training. cause it's not just training.... it's a LIFESTYLE!

i felt great today but no workout. am going to see my doctor tomorrow because now my place of employment (i work for a globo gym) will not let me work without a release from him. just hope that everything goes well! be back as soon as possible. cant wait for my next WOD!

You are doing well, Tim. I am glad you are loving CF so much. Your numbers are impressive. It looks like you haven't been wasting your time in the gym before CF. Keep the hard work.

just got back from the doctors and he told me that i have to go through more tests. echocardiogram tomorrow. see him again on friday. he wont let me train or work til next monday. now i'm ****ed! no working out and no money.

guess my focus for the next while is flexibility, nutrition, and meditation.
