Re: A Soccer Mom's Log

Christin, I am so happy for you!! I know how empowering it is to overcome something that used to intimidate you so you must be feeling awesome! What a great group of women it was in that class yesterday!! You inspired all of them to believe they could do more and everyone benefitted!!
I love this stuff!!

Congrats to you!

(LOL on the "plain silly burpee flops" ...)

Thanks Shana. WODing with the other women was the ticket. Under no circumstances could I have said no to you on the 24" in front of them, but that's just me. It was time for me to step it up. Thanks for the push!

"The Chief"
5 Rounds of
AMRAP in 3 min of
3 power Cleans, 95#W, 135#M- scaled to 85#
6 Pushups
9 Squats
Rest 1 min between rounds
Post total # rounds for each round (ha)

4+3pu /4+2pc /4+4pu /4+2pc /4+1pc

Coulda/shoulda/woulda used 95 but am still tweaking PCs. Pushups felt slow bc of ab tear. Took it easy on them. Fun group (Whitney, Harrie, Mo, Brian) at CFED today. Tommy did a very thorough job coaching. Cleans are one of the moves that get better with repetition....

Re: A Soccer Mom's Log

Nice work with the Chief, Christin Glad to see you making your way back to total bada$$ery once again.

Is Shana or any of the other CFED monsters coming down to Orlando for the Iron Curtain Challenge at CF Evolution? Should be fun-I have registered, but I'm not sure if I will compete in the Rx division or the "Road to the Games" division....

Thanks for your kind words, Marriane! Yep, trying to "take it easy" isn't so easy for me. Reading your post really made me think about it

Re: A Soccer Mom's Log

They had a Poker WOD at CFED yesterday which I missed unfortunately. Did Fran solo later in the day....blah.

Saturday, October 18, 2009

Fran
21-15-9 of Thrusters(65#W, 95#M) and Pullups
Time= 6:10----23 sec slower than PR
Pullups felt terrible. Thrusters unbroken.

Re: A Soccer Mom's Log

Dang C-Street! Bad-@$$-ery is right!

Smoking work on 'The Chief' & a 6-min 'Fran' ain't too shabby. I know it's not a PR but they all can't be...

Great work Sista!

Re: A Soccer Mom's Log

Thanks Matt!

Yesterday we did a great one. This tabata is way more difficult than the traditional Tabata Something Else....

Monday, October, 19, 2009

Skill Work: Handstand practice...4 tabata intervals
then
"Tabata Enchilada"
Traditional tabata rounds of
Walking Lunge Steps
Sumo Deadlift High Pull, 45M, 35W
Ring Dips--band assist
Dumbell Power Snatch, 35M, 25W
121/82/43/45
Total = 291

This is a true gem! I sure am enjoying Shana's and Tommy's programming at CFED!
