Otherwise, I'm great! I am getting so pumped up for the qualifiers....I wish they were today! Alas, I have to wait 11 days...

I found out there's an adult tumbling class at our local gymnastics gym....I am going to start going! (after the qualifiers, that is....)

Looks like you put on a great event down there at GSX. Love the big screen TV!!!

Lucky! I've been looking for an adult gymnastics class for a long while now. I think it would be so much fun and good training.

Thanks! That was a super fun WOD. It really worked the legs...

I noticed yesterday afternoon that I was virtually pain-free. I had forgotten that my rib even hurt until somebody asked me around 4:30 how I was feeling. I was like..."uh, fine, why? Oh yeah! my rib! it doesn't hurt!"

I know! I can't wait!!!

WOD 090505

Deadlift....this went horribly. No details.

Push Press 7-7-7

75-85-95

That went well My original goal was 85#. But, that felt easy. I think I could have gotten more than 95# but I didn't want to push it with my rib. It was pretty painful to do (that was in the morning yesterday, and my rib was really sore). But it didn't hurt more with 95# than with 45#, so i kept going up. I thought if I went up anymore I might compromise my form and hurt something, so I just stopped at 95#.

Getting stoked for the qualifiers!

I was so bummed to read that you got hurt last week! ... but you look like you're being pretty wise about managing the pain and the training... So jealous of your gymnastics cert secrets! Really have to get to one of those once I stop having to kill squirrels in the park for food. Sigh...

Keep up the great work, Jenna - I'm sure it can't be easy to manage everything at once but you're doing it very well. Get some r and r too!

Thanks for the good wishes, Erin! You definitely have to get to a gymnastics cert. I learned tons!

Oh geez, I have been slacking on my log. Let's see...

WOD 090507

Hang Power Clean and Push Jerk 1-1-1-1-1-1-1

95-105-110PR-115PR-120PR-125PR-125PR

I have a WFS video of my first 125# lift.

Then, 2k Row in 8:33.5 (PR by 33.3 seconds)

WOD 090508

"Daniel"
50 Pullups
400m Run
21 Thrusters, 65#
800m Run
21 Thrusters
400m Run
50 Pullups

16:43

Happy with that. I needed revenge on "Daniel". Last time I did him, I tore my hands so bad in the last set of pullups that I couldn't finish. I was bleeding so bad I couldn't hold onto the pullup bars. It took me 28 minutes to get 10 pullups from the end. That was last may 6.

WOD 090510

"Grace"
95# clean and jerk 30 reps for time.

4:14

Last time I did it in 4:12 with 85#. I wish I were faster at Grace.

WOD 090511

Deadlift 175x5 then 195x8

Then,

5 Rounds for time of:
105# squat clean, 5 reps
7 Burpees
9 Chest to bar pullups

8:50

I've been feeling pretty weak the last couple of days. I think it's time I take a rest. I am planning on no more hard workouts until the qualifiers on Saturday. I'll just do some moving so I don't get stiff. I might practice some snatching or something, just in case....

Re: Jenna's new gym, new life, new log

Man, you could use some rest after all that STELLAR stuff!

for the PR on the HPC+PJ! And you earned a well-deserved for upping the weight on 'Grace' and getting within TWO FREAKIN' SECONDS of your PR!!

Nice job showing respect to 'Daniel' as well! Like I said...awesome stuff Sista!

It's been too long since I've checked in here but I did see today that you were destroying it at the Qualifiers. You killed that 2nd WOD. Good luck tomorrow. Go get it!

Thanks Christin! Sunday's WOD was tough....but I managed to hold on for 6th place, which was good enough to qualify for the Games! I can't wait!

Jenna,
Congratulations! WOOT, WOOT!

I have a lot of catching up to do on your log. Been traveling and just got home. The other high point (besides seeing my brother, sister-in-law, and my nephews) was meeting and working out with Christin Street, Keith Walker, and getting in a training session with Shana Alverson.

I can tell by just looking at a couple of things, that you have just simply been rockin' it! Way to go! I'll pop back and finish catching up as I get some time. Gymnastics Cert is next weekend.......YOWZA!!
