Whoa! Swimming and then following it up with that PU WOD?!?!

I'm down with your sickness Sister! Keep up the great stuff and you'll be lapping those Tyr Twins in the pool next time!

Re: Camille the newb

That PU wod is crazy, I scaled WAAAAAAY down. Much lower than I usually do but I, like many, completely crashed and burned last time I tried this. 150 pullups with half of them being weighted or deadhang is just too much, at least for me, to take.

Again happy you wrote that... I thought my pullups were just bad, bad, bad!!!

Today's WOD
Push jerk 1-1-1-1-1-1-1

85-95-100-100(f)-100-105-110
Did at home, with big collars.
Not exactly happy with the catch on the last two- it was more of my right leg out than a good, even catch.
Last time I did 80-90-100-105-105-110. Not sure how that order works for or against me.
I think I started in a better rack position this time, may have been more thruster-like start last time (push press...whatever)...

Hey Camille, good to see you on the boards.
You have good numbers on your jerks. You mached your last workout, I crashed and burned today, no big deal though. Good work.

Cheers to the new car, and I know I'm late to the party but that is some impressive work on that pull-up WOD PLUS swimming, and the push jerks look awesome too! Looks like you have been very busy! I like the pic in front of your car - it's nice to see your smiley face.

In my experience, the best swimmers are usually the ones with the faded caps and the suits that are frayed and blotchy from all the chlorine. And they rarely match!

13:32. Quit counting sets after two, at 10. Used 5lbs.
Twice I haven't made it through this workout, even scaled! Ah, well... at least I can do a pullup!
And twice you've attempted this WOD, which puts you 2x ahead of me! I'm seeing several people complain of elbow pain from this, so it makes me leery of trying it.

Hey Nik.. thanks for stopping by. I have been alittle MIA lately. I see you're still kicking serious butt over there!

Thanks!!!! I've been feeling pretty good despite the crazy workouts lately. An extra rest day here and there helps too!

Hey-my suit's frayed! Does that make me good? lol I bought that suit about 2 years ago and it was just about too small then. Now, it's getting kinda baggy!

Yeah...that workout was a real beotch. I will get it one day.

Today's WOD:
Grace
30 Clean and Jerks for time
Used 65lbs like last time. Last time in September, 5:45.
Today- 5:00. Did first 15 in a row and then broke into 5s. Next time, I'm trying 85lbs. :stir:

Re: Camille the newb

THanks, Christin, but I would hardly put me in your fitness class. And I would hardly say you're old!!

Today's WOD:
Run 800 4 rounds, rest in between.
Rested about 2 mins ea

I still hate to run! Tried to put it off as long as possible, hoping it would thunderstorm lol. I knew I needed to do this and not cherry-pick.
4:14
4:18
4:29
4:49

Done at home, in VFF. Calves started to feel tight at round three.
