I'm currently training to ride in the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Bike Tour this coming April '05. The event consists of a one-day 75 mile bike trip. Right now, my training consists of following the WOD (though seriously modified) and going on several long bike rides throughout the week. I've considered adding Tabata Bike runs (measuring my distance during the 20 second phases) to my training.
Will tabata be of any benefit for this sort of endurance event? Can anyone recommend any other sort of specific training I might try?
