Tileboard

So I spent $13 at Lowe's on a 4x8 piece of tileboard for our dry erase board at our new box. Got it there, and my daughter asked if she could draw on it. I checked to make sure that the marker was dry erase - it was. But, it didn't erase, dry, wet, or with cleaner!

What gives? I know that a lot of boxes use tileboard as an inexpensive alternative. Any suggestions?

Re: Tileboard

Try an acetate solution. I usually just use the same antibacterial spray that I use on the gear to wipe ours down.

Re: Tileboard

I use the same tileboard in my classroom. The first markers I used we old, and they did not erase. I had to use Windex to clean it. Once, I switched to new markers, all colors but black erased. I've heard that "low odor" markers do not erase as well. Although I have never verified this claim
