A lot of people say that the best way to train your core is on your feet. Olympic lifts, OH squats/lunges, kb swings are all great. Other moves I do regularly are planks (usually with added movement like knee to elbow leg/arm raises), knees to elbows and toes to bar, and v-ups. Most things on the physioball are good too.

Im obviously NOT a professional, but i can't see doing 35 straight minutes of abs, no rest, running through that work as beneficial, seems like it would "overtraining" your abs almost...IDK...
i dont doubt its a tough one, and if it works for you, good stuff! I guess for me, i'd just much rather spend 35 working on overhead squat form, or playing on rings...

I have to agree. Obviously how much work load we can take varies tremendously from person to person, but even if you can take all that and recover I have to wonder what the point of it is.

If you are a fighter and need to withstand blows in the midsection . . . sure.

If you are a body builder or an extra in 300 and thus need chiseled abs . . . sure.

But if your goal is functional fitness (which, granted, it may not entirely be, nothing wrong with that) it seems fairly unnecessary. After all, strengthening your core is great, but your core isn't just abs and I'm guessing there isn't some 35 minute back muscle routine that you do to counter balance all the ab work.
