Sorinex Basefit for a garage gym??

I've read several posts on the Sorinex Basefit. They are all positive, but none of them appear to be based on utilizing the Basefit personally, but rather on seeing it online or at a demo. I am outfitting a garage gym for my wife and I. I get the impression the Basefit is aimed at affiliates, but it seems very versatile for a home gym as well. Does anybody have personal experience with the Basefit? If so, would you recommend this for a garage gym?

How much room do you have in your garage?

It's an large, empty, double car. Just getting ready to start "filling" it with gym equipment.

Do you have experience working out on the Basefit?

Brett,

The BaseFit system is without a doubt the sweetest setup you could have in your garage. It can be used for a garage or an entire military platoon.

The only issue that you may have is that the height of the BaseFit is 9' at the top.

With this system you will have:

1) Pullup Bars

2) Dip Bars

3) Squat Rack

4) Bumper Storage

5) Bench Rack

6) Plyo Box Jump

Bert Sorin at Sorinex does not mess around when he designs equipment!

Email me if you are need anything else: bill@roguefitness.com

Re: Sorinex Basefit for a garage gym??

Bill, help me out here. I go to the Sorinex site and either find a simple wallmount rack, an option for custom design, or basefit rack setups to handle me and twenty of my closest friends. Can you point me to a basefit setup to cover all the bases you mentioned for a single individual in roughly the space of a squat cage? Or even a half-rack? I just can't find anything like it on the Sorinex site. Thanks.

David,

1) The reason for the Double Diamondback is for stability, the single unit is not as stabile as the two connected. You can purchase the single 4X4 unit by itself, just shoot me an email.

2) There are lots of options for Racks from York to Sorinex. Sorinex equipment is built to withstand the most extreme weightlifting. It is all made in the USA as well!

Hope that helps!

Bill

Re: Sorinex Basefit for a garage gym??

Brett & David,

The BaseFit Rack is ideal for a garage gym to any size affiliate space. It is designed to be infinitely expandable. You can customize the rack in many configurations. If you're short on space, it is also designed for outdoor use.

Seeing how space is a prime concern for most individuals & affiliates, Bert Sorin saw the need for CrossFit to have an all-in-one piece of equipment. He also saw the wasted space that most, if not all, pull-up/monkey bar racks have. Why not have the ability to have squat racks, plyo-boxes, rings, pull-up bars, etc., in the wasted space? Hence, the BaseFit Rack was born. And yes, it is made in the good 'ol USA!

I have known Richard & Bert Sorin for about 6 years now & I can tell you that they are the real deal. They walk the walk! You won't be disappointed with the BaseFit Rack.

Ray,

Do you have a Basefit system at your affiliate? If not, do you know of anybody in the SoCal/San Diego area that has one? Would love to check one out.

Dan

Re: Sorinex Basefit for a garage gym??

Dan,

I have personally used the BaseFit Rack while I was @ the CROSSFIT GAMES. I believe that one is still @ the Aromas facility. I am currently designing one to give to Bert for our new facility. I'm sure if you call Bert, @ Sorinex Equipment, he'll give you some locations that already have a BaseFit to try out.
