I've heard tales of Greg Amundson and have seen some pretty impressive results in the WOD (270lb thruster and 550 DL, a 35:30 10k)...so I'm wondering who you guys would consider the fittest person following the crossfit methodology? And does this person do only the WoD?

I would say that it depends upon the day and the metric. I think some of the fittest are Greg Amundson, Mike Weaver, and Dave Leys. As to who's fittest of these three, I couldn't say but I think you would be splitting hairs. They are all awesome. Further, from what I hear there is a solid bunch that are not far behind these guys at all.

Don't forget to throw Kelly and Lynne in there. And I just saw Annie Sakamoto beat out everyone in a WOD last weekend - including Greg.

I agree, it depends on the metric.

My mother.....

57 years old...
Only 50% kidney function...
Aneurism in her brain...
Faster and more energetic than both her sons..
Still lifts weights, swims, runs, bikes... risks overtrainig constantly
Can hold a solid pace on many WOD...
Only woman I know her age, who has to worry about eating enough to maintain body weight..

:-)

My vote goes to Brad's mom too...I shouldn't even be on the list (thanks, though, Beth) - anyone who can't run faster than a 10 min mile doesn't make the cut. And I can't. Downhill. With a tailwind. And bad guys chasing me...

Robb Wolf is definitely on that list. I haven't seen many of his times or seen him workout. However, I do know that anything that requires bodyweight exercises, he won't have many peers here. I saw him do a front-lever last weekend. I also think the guy has a 500lb. deadlift! Yeah, he is a freak...and a darned nice freak at that!

I was limiting my list to those who are at the CrossFit headquarters on a regular basis. If we expand it to the entire community, I don't know enough of the people out there though I would have to include Lynne and Kelly no matter how long it takes them to run a mile!
