I'm 5 months in to crossfit and I love it more everyday. As a firefighter its what i've been lacking in my workouts.

But now its hard not to laugh when I watch others "workout". Today my workout was run 1/2 mile max set of chins, wallballs. Three times through. Two guys wearing their sisters t shirts were standing under the chin bar."Excuse me" this bald 47 y/o said and I jumped up and did 14 chins, then right on to wallballs. They had that funny look I often get now .

They then walked over to the power rack to do CURLS of course they did have to set their coffees down though.

I blew through me whole workout while they did curls and sipped coffee. It was hard on me because i really have a hard time keeping a straight face as i watch others workout now.

haha... i love these gym threads.... (un?)fortunatly i always work out at home and rarely go to gyms. but this year i've started going to the gym... anyway...

i finally have a 'gym' story. i was working on my front lever and these two guys were doing dumbell exercises. just random half-rom-rounded-back-bent-arm stuff. and the guy actually says to the other: "whoa man! stop that. you gotta work more on your biceps! they don't look very tight. come on let's do some more curls!" they got excited and everything. :g:

... just thought i'd share. you're not alone larry... yor're not alone...

t.

I've said it before..

Don't get too impressed with yourselves. At least these folks get to a gym, which is better than 90+% of the population.

Keep setting a good example, and you might teach them something.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a little smirking and chuckling at those types - God only knows we get our own share of stares and whispers.

Just be ready to show them the path if they ask questions.
