Starting For newcomers to the CrossFit methodology

Hey guys I was wondering if i wanted to get my personal record or things or max like squat, pullups, dips, deadlift, clean, etc. should i take a week and just max a dif. one each day or max each day and do the WOD. Thanks

I had sort of the same question. I don't know if this helps Michael, but I checked out the CF skill level spread sheets in the CF journal. I plan to see if I can't hit a few benchmarks before I do the WOD each day and that way get a picture of where I need improvement.

i don't think you really have to do that. i don't know how long you've been doing the workouts, but coach posts "max effort" days at least once a week, which, for example today, you do the most wieght you can do on deadlifts 3x 2x 2x 2x 1x 1x 1x 1x 1x. always post your results on all days you do the WOD so you can compare your results when you do the WOD again.
