I guess today was okay. Deadlifts felt extremely fast, so I decided to test something heavy. Turned into an unexpected PR. A better build up and I definitely have more in the tank. Not sure if it's related, but it's the first day in over a month that I did not have deep fascial/tissue work done the day before deadlifts. Who would have thought ... ?

Congrats on the pr and judging by that picture you have put on some muscle and still staying at the same bodyweight. that is hard and cool thing you have done .I am trying to do the same.

Jacob, indeed that is the 615. I was pretty happy with it last night - had to share right away.

Tom, the 615 was decently fast, but the 610 before it was VERY fast! Has me stoked for nationals.

John, sorry man, I know you are obsessed with size, but my weight and body fat levels have been the exact same for several years.

Anthony Not obsessed with size at all. We are about the same size and weight but you looked bigger it must be that you didn't have a t- shirt on and looked more muscular . I would kill to have your bodyfat levels at the same weight. I probably have ten pounds to drop. You got the strength and cardio. I don't think most powerlifters have that. And that was way to easy for you 615.

Maintained a nice and steady pace throughout. Squats were ok despite a very tired back.

The saddest thing about today is that I can no longer indulge in "Big Mac Fridays." It is now "Big Ceasar Salad While Watching Tony Eat a Big Mac Friday". I can however continue my Saturday indulgences so YAY!!!

Nice easy day after Wednesday's craziness. Everything felt good, although I wasn't sitting back enough on squats. Some fatigue from deadlifts, but not nearly as bad as expected. Minor issues with QL/oblique yesterday, but none today. Tonight/tomorrow will be the test to see if I'm finally past this. Erector guarding significantly lower than usual. Will probably take next week as another "rest" from the deep fascial stuff, but plan to continue after that. It's definitely making a difference in my movement, recovery, etc. FINALLY BIG MAC TIME! Although I will try not to eat a loaf of bread on Saturday. Really want my weight below 165 in the next couple of weeks.

With all the benching and upper body accessory work we are doing right now, I'm just doing some maintenance work on these 2 movements. I really don't want to lose my HSPUs so they stay part of my regular routine, just at lighter volume.

Did a little workout from CrossFit Bathurst to get the heart rate up a bit.

8 Rounds of:
20 Double Unders
2 Muscleups

Time: 4:59

Took my time with this - slow transitions but it felt good. Missed a couple of double unders but other than that, everything was unbroken.

Overall feel good, but very tired. Minor discomfort in the QL from yesterday's squats, but confident it's finally starting to settle down.
