Atlas Stones 270x3

I haven't posted in awhile, but I'm pretty stoked about this, so wanted to share. 270 pound stone on 48" platform for three consecutive reps in 1:25. BW 166. First time with no misses ... now to work on the time.

Re: Atlas Stones 270x3

First off, nice job! A few things I see...you could be a tad closer to the platform, try not to pop your feet backwards that puts you further away and makes it a higher load. Its hard to see from this angle but I load with my feet and calves almost touching the stone on the pick so narrow your pick stance a little. Nice work best of luck!

Thanks Mike! Fairly new to stone work (obviously), so I'll give those tips a try next time around.

Well if you're fairly new youre doing great! Always remember too, the more of your body in contact with the stone the easier the load.

Re: Atlas Stones 270x3

Thanks ... first lift with the 270 was on July 10th, so just under 2 months. I try to practice once per week, but it's pretty hard on the body.
