Where do you perform your workouts? The gym that i'm currently a member is not suitable for Crossfit type workouts. I can do some of the workouts at home with limited gear (rings, weight vest, dumbbells, med. ball, etc) but not all.

I think it may be time for a change and finally get into to the groove of actually seriously doing Crossfit workouts, not just once in a blue moon...

Marc;
I have the 'luxury' of being able to pick several gyms...military perk. And being able to go to the YMCA.
Haven't figured out which gym(s) still has climbing ropes & due to shift work, I don't get too many strange looks doing medicine balls against the basketball back boards.

Marc,

I am in the same boat as Michael - I usually use the gym at NDHQ for my standard workouts, occasionally I use the Y in Orleans, and I have a limited home gym where I can do some Oly lifting, ring work, and pull-ups.

But... Colin and Pierre are reportedly on the verge of opening Capital Crossfit in the very near future and that will mean that we will finally have a PROPER gym to use. (cue applause)

Sam

Let's hope they keep it in the 30-40$ a month a range. That would get my business. :biggrinthumb:

Here's a thought: perhaps we should start looking now for a suitable area to do 'weekend Crossfit' similiar to those posted by affiliates.
I remember Jason B had proposed the idea a year or so back but it fell thru.
Area would have to be public, have parking available & if we're really lucky, have a track & a spot for chinups.
Any locations spring to mind? I know Moody beach was proposed but I've never seen the location.

I'm up for it on the weekend...any time

Pierre arranged to meet for a workout at the Y in Ottawa in Dec. He graciously coached me thru the Olifts...thanks Pierre for the much needed advise...hope your up to speed by now....need to armour plate that bicycle of yours for protection.

If anyone is willing we can set up a time to meet and workout....maybe Pierre can join us as a preliminary to the proposed Cossfit Ottawa.

The Garneau HS here in Orleans has a track, a b-ball court and parking. I'm up for a Saturday work-out if people are interested.

If nothing else, it would be great to get together for an informal meet and greet.

Sam; we have a "few" schools to pick from here in Orleans. St-Peters also has parking & a track same with the school near Ray Friel.
Paul; where are you located?
A get together would be good. There's always the Y here in Orleans
