Re: 2014 45-49 Fittest on the Planet goal

Friday was a bunch of jerks then cleans.. cheering on my buddies doing 13.3.

I was just not feeling 100%. Took the weekend off.

Going in tonight to start the 3 days like last year. That was a good lead in.

I am so much better overall in Crossfit than last year. But I am injured this year actively. But I am a healing machine..

Cheers
V

Re: 2014 45-49 Fittest on the Planet goal

Took off the weekend. Monday back was feeling funky.. so did a workout that I did a year ago.
EMOM
2 Bar muscle ups
10 wall balls
6 T2B..

Got spicy but carried for 10 min or 10 rounds.. last year was 7 rounds. I feel that if pushed could do 13 to 15 rounds. Clearly a better crossfiter.

I am 6 weeks off a nasty for me back injury. The workout knocked something wrong.. spend yesterday mobilizing and resting.

What is it about FEB.. my son moved in with us for being kicked out of his moms house. We are 3 weeks from a finished re model at the house. He needs a bunch of love thru all of is anger. My daughter did not speak to me for 3 plus years and now we are like peas and carrots.

It will all be fine. If I get thru the open or not.. we will see.

Family and health is more important than selfish quests.

I am a healing machine.. will be ready to crush the stuff. Tennis elbow and back back and all.

Cheers
Vic

Healing machine.. gotta believe that.

Have committed to 3 times per day.. will have to do the 15.1 on Monday.

Have trouble putting on my socks.. well lets say I am sock less.

Good news is that I located the present pain.

I have come too far to quit now.

Cheers
Vic

Re: 2014 45-49 Fittest on the Planet goal

Thursday 8:30 AM did some mobility, reverse Back ext, streaching.. etc.. was a sad state of sore and pain.

Went 1PM reverse GHD 30 of them sets of 5 strict pull ups,
3 rounds of 25 air squats and 10 strict t2b
Then 40 straight leg kb 20#-53# dead lifts.

Felt good and got some good crack out of my back.

Feeling better going to watch 15.1 then go in a do more back rehab.

The back has been so bad it took my mind off of my tennis elbow..

Now back is feeling better so Tennis Elbow is kicking !

Oh the fun of crossfit.

Re: 2014 45-49 Fittest on the Planet goal

Friday did 3 reps of mobility and rehab.

Saturday did some workout.. strict pull ups, reverse ghd's, air squats, run, row, burpees and light dead lifts..

Sunday was 15.1 and alpha.

Metcons are my thing but had some problems on the C and J. Opener was planned on being really light. Warm up to 195# was the best I have felt in a while.

Well the 205# first pull was pain down the legs.. dropped it.

Then summoned everything to do that rep. Body did not want to split the weight or dip... ugly..

#225.. almost put on 215#.. set the back better.. then did the weight.. push press style..

#235 clean went well, the push press was tough..

Ended up 191 reps and 235#.

I pace myself a bit on the metcon.. might have gone 200.. but then out of order sign has been lit for 6 weeks...

Vic,

Sounds similar to my last 6 weeks worth of training. Great score on the first part, hope everything starts healing up.
