Zone Diet books

I was just wondering, where does everybody get their Zone information? I was looking at the aritcle on "metabolic deranagement" and there are 9 different books that the author Barry Spears has published. Does everybody just follow the basic "Enter the Zone or have you all purchased other books? I am very interested in reading further about the Zone Diet and possibly incorporating it into my life.

I've read a lot online. The only book I have is "Mastering the Zone." It's a pretty brief read, but very informative and filled with sample recipes and the like. I'd say if you're learning about the Zone, then "Enter the Zone" (I think that's the title?) is probably a better buy. But if you're looking to actually apply it, I had pretty good experience with the book I mentioned.

If you go to a used bookstore you can usually find a decent selection of used Zone books. Get one of those!

I just bought Enter the zone today at Hastings today. It is apart of my New Years res to read more books along with practicing celibacy.

Between the hundreds of posts on this board in the archives (type in "the Zone") and the articles in the Journal, you should have all the information you need to follow the diet. Plus you will learn the ins and outs of the Zone diet (tips, athletes zone, what to avoid, best practices, etc) not found in the books. However, if you are the type who needs to knows the scientific reasoning underlying the diet, the books will serve you right.
