![]() I've heard Ezekiel Bread is alright. If you go to a Whole Foods or any similar store you should have a few options to choose from. |

CFers, you bust your *** in the gym multiple days per week burning a LOT of glycogen. A few simple carbs are not going to do anything but help you out. Trust me. Don't listen to the fadsters. That is what is kind of interesting about CrossFit. In terms of training it is all about the basics and what really works setting aside all of the industry b.s., but when it comes to diet it is almost the reverse for many, i.e. they follow whatever the current fad being embraced by the community in general is. |

Re: Bread question.
Oh jeez. Wraps and sandwiches are the same thing, get over yourself. I also never said I like lettuce wraps, just a suggestion to the OP who asked for paleo options.

Re: Bread question.
Ezekiel is good, but whenever I buy it, it just doesn't keep well. If you're one to use bread regularly then I'd say go for it though.

Re: Bread question.
I've become partial to the "SaWheattt" break from Eureka! Baking Company.
They have it in every King Soopers and Whole Foods where I'm at. It's amazing. When I'm not eating grains, which is every once in a while, I choose to replace any sandwich or pasta/rice dish with greens- throw the protein over the greens, put some oil on, and good to go. |

Re: Bread question.
I've used this recipe for a low carb bread substitute. Also has lots of spinachy goodness.
http://thisprimallife.com/2010/08/a-...wich-solution/ (WFS) It's mostly spinach and eggs. You blend it up and cook it like pancakes. If you put pickles, mayo, meat, and cheese in between two pieces it's a fairly satisfying sandwich. |
