Re: The start of my garage gym...

Not fully sure right now, Materials = $13,000, engineered Slab is $13,000. Electrical will be about $3000.

Waiting on the quote for the actual labour of building the garage, should have it in a day or so. Im thinking between $5,000 and $8,000.

The slab is expensive because it has to be an engineered slab because of the size.

I should mention, the ceilings are 10 ft and that includes all materials to be finished on the inside, insulated and also with upgraded shingles and siding and better garage doors.

Re: The start of my garage gym...

Dang - construction has got expensive!!! I built a 16 x 20 shop .. had the slab poured for about 4k ... bought materials and me and some friends got it roughed in for about 2k. Add siding, brick front, shingles and electricity (some done myself) for 2k totalling around 8k.

I can't believe that cost of materials has gone up so much!

You're going to have a SWEET space when it's complete!

Re: The start of my garage gym...

The slab is quite the job, it goes down almost 2 feet into the ground, then also comes up 4 inches above the base...there is quite a bit more to this slab than normal ones that are under 24X24...

I was kind of shocked by the price of all the material as well, but, I upgraded a lot of stuff, the roof has a gable..things like that...its not really that bad though.
