Open WoD 11.5......and 6?

I just watched the Udate on the Open video from the Games website - right at the end the host said that both of the last WoDs for the Open are coming out today. Did I miss-hear that?

If they are putting them out both at once, does that increase the likelyhood of a max effort lift? Is it to catch up on the lost week from 11.1? Any thoughts...

Yes, it is a catch up. I think they're doing it for the benefit of those who may have scheduled their Spring Break/Easter travel based on the originally announced Open schedule. The way I heard it, you'll have until Sunday to complete 11.5, but they're going to give us until next Sunday to do 11.6.

Re: Open WoD 11.5......and 6?

The reason that 11.5 and 11.6 will be released at the same is the effect of the 11.1 re-do week. This allows people and affiliates to complete the WODs by the initial completion date (many boxes had planned out 6 weeks of sectional competitions and did not want to stretch out to 7 weeks), but still have one WOD per week. Even though 11.6 will be released today, you will not be able to enter scores until next week.

Workout 5 is up. 20 minute AMRAP... oh god.

All the movements are easy, but 20 minutes... ugh.

5 Power cleans (145lbs / 65kg)
10 Toes to bar
15 Wall balls (20lbs to 10' target)

Had to figure something like this was coming. Looks like a very interesting workout though. Curious to see what the scores will look like.

11.5 looks like 20:00 of straight brutality.

Re: Open WoD 11.5......and 6?

I admit I'm a little bit gutted about no KB swings or anything actually heavy.

But I guess since I hate the looks of these workouts, they are just what I require, ha
