Re: CHEAP Bumpers-Any Good???

Rick,

Please check with Precision Fitness
They have four local stores with the one in Newton @ 275 Centre Street the closest probable option. The number at that store is (617) 244-0812

Steve the president of the company is a great guy and works at the Natick store. Give him a call (508) 655-0288 and let him know what you need. Their entire staff is very astute but it can't hurt to start at the top.

In health,
Paul

Re: CHEAP Bumpers-Any Good???

Matt,

Thank you for the reply. I am sending your two sample plates and the kettlebell to our Play It Again Sports affiliate up there.

Should arrive within about 10 days as they're finalizing their order.

Hre is the contact information for the store:
PIAS-Austin, TX
2933 West Anderson Ln. North
Austin, TX 78757
Owner: Scott Dorf
512-451-8976

Shoot me an e-mail with your contact information and I'll give it to Scott so he or his staff can call you when it arrives. I'll also shoot you his cell number so you can get a hold of him at your convenience.

As an aside, CF'ers should check out their local PIAS stores, they are diamonds in the rough, you can find some terrific used stuff for a song and many are now dealing in high-end fitness equipment.

Paul -

The owners of my box (Crossfit Leander) aren't members here. Can I respond to this on their behalf? If so (and I'd need to talk to them first to confirm), I would be willing to post their review for them here.

Re: CHEAP Bumpers-Any Good???

Mark,

I'd be happy to make you my second product reviewer.

Please shoot me a private e-mail and if and when they or you can pick it up here at our warehouse. ( I can't ask Austin PIAS to add more non retail related free product to their inventory order).

If you can pick it up here let me know.

Best regards,

Re: CHEAP Bumpers-Any Good???

Presently I know of no manufacturer shipping to Norway via their on-line dealers. However, if you have a freight forwarder you use to conduct other export business from the States then it certainly is feasible.

Presumably the associated cost of shipping to Norway will make this option prohibitive as the net landed cost will likely erase any discounts gleaned from the purchase but there are many companies listed on the CF board that can potentially offer this service and I will work with any dealer of our Troy products to help assist in getting it done as affordably as possible.

Re: CHEAP Bumpers-Any Good???

CF owners and end users:

We now have our affordable premium colored rubber bumpers in our NJ warehouse. These are non-interlocking w/ steel inserts & 1 year warranty.

I personally guarantee they will be the best bumper for the buck you've ever tried. We've looked at all elements of what makes a great bumper plate, solicited feedback from our extensive dealer network and designed a durable, affordable, aestheticly dynamic plate CrossFit owners can be proud to put in their box.

My personal gaurantee includes the following:
"If you buy these plates and hate 'em simply ask your dealer for my cell number so you can feel free to call and let me know directly. Worst times are Sundays and weekday evenings after 10 PM. You are most welcome to call during those times."

I am that confident in these bumpers.

For CF'ers in NJ, DE, NE Maryland & Western PA, check out Christian's Fitness Factory in Lancaster, PA (717) 207-7171 Noah, Christian and the gang have inventory or you can place a call to him and pick them up at our South NJ warehouse. Save some money, get a premium product.

This plate will give you superior quality and value to the other brands you may be used to.

Reviews and comparisons (good or bad) to Wright, Kraiburg and Hi-Temp are welcomed, encouraged and appreciated as well as pics of these plates in action.

E-mail me for any questions, dimensions, warranty info, feedback and /or pics.

Re: CHEAP Bumpers-Any Good???

I own some of the Troy interlocking bumper plates and Troy kettlebells. I utilize both in my garage gym, on my driveway, and even in the street occasionally. So far these bumpers have held up as well as any other brands I have ever used. Me and my buddies give them the normal crossfit abuse, and they have held well.

The bumper plates have also seemed to withstand the Houston heat and humidity without any issues. I am in the process of trying to purchase some more.
