Zone / Paleo

In '06 I Found Crossfit And Began The Zone Diet. On The Zone Plan, My Mental Clarity And Performance Were Off The Chart. The Only Problem Was I Gained Weight. Not Muscle But Fat. My Waistline Just Exploded. (202lbs To 234lbs)
In November Of '08 I Suffered A Shoulder Injury And Laid Off Crossfit And The Zone For Approximately 6 Months In Which Time My Weight Dropped To 215lbs. I Came Back And Restarted Crossfit And The Zone And Put On More Weight.
In Feb '10 Started The 30 Day Paleo Challange And Kept Going For 60 Days. During This Whole Time I Lost 3-4lbs And Maybe 1" From The Waist. I Keep Reading How The Fat Just Melts Off People On The Zone And Paleo. What Am I Doing Wrong? Should I Be Measuring My Food While On Paleo?
*for The Past 3 Weeks I Have Done Nothing But Run For 30 Minutes A Day 3-4 Times A Week. Normally I Follow The Main Site Wod 3 On 1 Off. On My Off Day I Go For A Light Bike Ride Or Walk. The Only Change In My Life In ''06 Was I Quit Smoking. What Is Wrong?

How much are you eating? It's hard to get fat off Zone/Paleo unless you're eating about 30 blocks a day. Post what you eat in an average day.

I got to think it was user-error.

Personally I don't think much about zone, it's just a way to measure portion control.

As for paleo, I have to believe that maybe you weren't really eating as paleo as you thought.

The biggest reason I sah that is because you should have easily lost more than in just water weight with sixty days on paleo.
