Matt, I was about the same weight when I started and I screwed it up and not only did I loose weight, but I lost a lot of strength. The most I would do is set it up to loose 1/2 per week and try it for a week. That should be about 1900 calories. Just don't enter the workouts.

Matt, do this, count your calories eating as you have been leading up to this idea. See what you are averaging. Once you know, drop 300 cals from that average and consume that daily until you are no longer losing fat then drop another 300 cals and so on.

I have a non active job so the target calories it estimates for me is about 1360 a day.

Do other people that use MyFittnesPal go off the estimated number or do they add additional calories in to compensated for their WODs?
That figure is ridiculously low so I would assume that's your basal metabolic rate (BMR), not your total energy requirements. Use the DRI Nutrient Calculator in my sig if you want a more accurate estimate of your total energy requirements.

The problem with any formula based calculation is it doesn't take into account your unique physiology and circumstances. That is why I recommend what I do. It is specific to YOU.

Re: Is MyFittnessPal telling me to eat to few Calorise?

Chris I definitely am going to do what you suggested because I believe that is the only way I can find what works for me, but being new the calculator was cool bc is list macro nutrients and vitamins. I know my levels will be different, but being new I have wondered what all is considered a macro nutrient.

If you liked the DRI calculator you'll love this -

Pennington Biomedical Research Center Weight Loss Predictor. (wfs)

To my knowledge it's the most up to date, accurate, weight loss calculator around.
