Carb Backloading

Does anyone have any experience with this? From what I read, it sounds like you are supposed to eat a lot of carbs the night before you do strength training. I was going to buy the eBook, but I'm not sure if it is a waste of money.

Re: Carb Backloading

I have the E-book. It's a fast read and explains how to cater the diet to people who train in non-ideal fashions from the basic Carb Loading Diet Kiefer has talked about and described all over the net. The basic diet is geared toward training in the evening. So it recommends how to eat if you train in the morning or late night while still using the carb backloading principles. He also has a section on supplements. Plus there is a little more explanation as to why he feels this diet works well.

The key principle I get is don't eat carbs unless you are about to train or after training.

I also think people feel you can eat junk on this diet and that is not the case. Ideally, you can eat some sugary carbs post workout, but otherwise shoot for unprocessed stuff.
