"Hansen"

Just did this hero wod today...actually finished it about 15 minutes ago.

This was the first wod in a long time where I almost came to quit. Around the beginning of round 3 my body mind was trying to give up on me...

it said:

"Your good man...you've gotten a great workout so far...go ahead and quit"

Then I remember this quote:

"The ramifications of quitting during a crossfit workout are your own personal shame"

So I drank the coolaid of suck it up...and finished.

47:16 was my time and I do believe this was the worst wod I've done....

RIP SSGT HANSEN.

Re: "Hansen"

I am glad to hear that I was not the only one who wanted to quit after round three. I powered thought and finished in the same time range as you 45-50 Minutes
(I was so beat I forgot to stop the stopwatch)

Re: "Hansen"

Are we talking about the same workout, because I thought it was one of the easier ones outside of those !#$@ing burpees.

Re: "Hansen"

"Hansen" was a rough WOD. It took me 39:15 and I was wrecked afterwards. My hip flexors were very tight this morning.

Re: "Hansen"

Amen!!!

It's been a long time since I've scaled a WOD, or just had that horrible "i'm gonna quit" feeling.

Hansen did that and then some. I gutted it out at 41:00 mins. I felt like a big wuss. I am a pretty experienced crossfitter - I hope the others who had trouble with this one are in the same boat.

I was slightly hungover, so I would like to think I would have hit around 35ish had it not been for that.

Admittedly, not my first hungover WOD

Nothing personal, but it's stupid to do a WOD as intense as "Hansen" after getting wasted the night before. Not just because you don't feel good, but because you put yourself at risk for a whole lot of things to go wrong.

This one just plays into my strengths, I think. Swings are crazy easy for me and situps are annoying but not killer. The burpees slowed me down, though, my knees always start hurtin'.

Re: "Hansen"

I was curious as to what form people had on this for the GHDs. If you go by the reach back with one arm and touch the floor, it is a bit more of an *** kicker. As opposed to just going back with your arms in until you lose reasonable mobility.

Burpees aside...5 rounds worth of 30 reps 2 pood swings (~72lbs) are crazy easy and 30 reps GHD situps are annoying?! Hope you're headed to the games this summer!
