Re: Any sportbike riders out there?

I'm with you Brett! You're totally right I should have prefaced my comment with the typical Rain &/or Cold commment!

SV's in the Rain w/ Rain Tires are way too much fun! I was part of an Endurance team here in the NW and we did a 6hr in the rain! It was probably the funnest time I've ever had on the track!

Oh and Thunderhill when it is wet is one SLICK track! But a TON of Fun!

Luke

Turn 3...where the river of water flows over the track on the off-camber portion of the turn...

Good times.

I need some dough so I can go to a track day here in Florida... sadly it's been 3 years.

Re: Any sportbike riders out there?

I have been out to the track lots to watch racing. it is awesome. there is always a battle going on somewhere. the leader could be a full lap ahead of the entire field and there will still be some amazing racing. i ride a crusier but i would love to get out on the track..

One idea worth considering is going to a school like Penguin or Keith Code and renting one of their track bikes. Usually it's something like a race prepped EX500, Duc 750 SS, or 600 super sport.

Could be a relatively low cost way to gauge your interest in spirited riding.

Re: Any sportbike riders out there?

the company i work for usually sponsors a race team here. We had a rider/employee pass away while messing aroung on his bike on the road. So we now sponsor the novice cup on race weekends. i have relative easy access to some sport bikes. it is just committing to go out and do it. they usually only do the school in the spring and by the time i look into its too late...
