Great lecture on the deleterious effects of sugar, in particular fructose from refined sugar and HFCS. Courtesy of Mat Lalonde from Robb Wolf's blog. It's long (about 1.5 hr), but well worth your time. Warning: he specifically argues that a calorie is not a calorie.
