Re: A Bears Tale

My shoulders fine thanks Richard , i guess you see the thread i put in injuries for my training partner, i found it easier to just say it was my problem.

I was looking at all the times in comments about the Hang Power Snatch WOD and i noticed your time was the best of the day!!! So im very happy with my time today and greatly looking forward to the next three days!!

Haha OK, I didn't know it was for your partner. I was starting to wonder how you could still go on with the WODs thru that pain.

Thank you, but I still saw a faster time tho !

Max thrusters tonight, I never did that before I wonder how hard that can be. Let's get it on

Re: A Bears Tale

Monday 28th April 2008

THRUSTERS 1-1-1-1-1-1-1

60K / 65K / 70K / 75K FAIL / 75K FAIL / 72.5k (160lb) / 75K FAIL
Well that was pathetic, expected at least 75k and that still would not of pleased me much. Thrusters is still my Nemesis

HSPU's - 64 completed head bangs on floor in about 30 minutes spent practising them. Best consecutive efforts which was 4 (equal PR) but it came on about my 40th rep when i got more aggressive with them. More aggression was needed with the Thrusters too, i repeat i hate them.

Re: A Bears Tale

We all have demons over here, congrats for at least having the perseverence to make several attempts. It's aggravating !

64 HSPUs ! You're sure greasing the groove on those

It's on again for tomorrow , I'll be working out early you'll have a time to beat, and I'll make sure that time is low !

Re: A Bears Tale

Tuesday 29th April 2008

RUN 5k
- 20.01(PR) previous 20.34
Had to 'Suck It Up' from about 1.55k, just left it on 15.1kph and kept going.
Not sure if my running is getting better or i am just pushing myself harder and harder in order to beat my last time. Its not like running on the road where you may slow down without noticing, you physically have to push the button the slow up which is like giving up!! So its 15.2 next time!!

BACK SQUAT
60K 10 / 90K 8 / 110K 4 / 120K 3 / 130K 2 / 130K 1
No heroics here just some nice deep squats. Felt good on all weights.

ROW 500m - 1.27.5 previous 1.29.5

Re: A Bears Tale

Damn impressive 5k !

And you've almost beat my PR on the 500m row (1.27.2), this is going to be ANOTHER challenge between us haha

But waw, just read the WOD on the mainpage 20 minutes of thrusters and pullups is very very vicious. I also read in the comments that Speal (very tough crossfitter) couldn't walk right for 5 days after this WOD !

We'll know the winner tonight :stir:

Yes i've seen Speal in action in a couple of the videos, i think hes one of the top men in the Crossfitting world!! Another comment i read was "If Speal cannot walk for 5 days then i wont be able to walk all May!!"

I have no idea how many Rounds im going to get on this WOD.
Good luck Richard . Pain is coming tonight for sure so we must welcome it!!

Re: A Bears Tale

Wednesday 30th April 2008

Thrusters 65lb 10 reps
Pull-ups 10 reps
- 20 minutes count the amount of rounds completed
14 rounds, 10 thrusters
That was hard work. Pleased all but the last set of chins was unbroken.

This was probably a bad idea after 150 thrusters but here we go:
SHOULDER PRESS 3-3-3-3-3
50K / 60K / 62.5K X 2 / 60K / 60K
PUSH PRESS 2-2-2-2
60K / 65K / 67.5KF / 67.5K X 1
