Re: Jumprope of choice for DUs

I bought Ultra Speed for my crew. A lot of people that were unable to get Double Unders before have gotten them with these. Scott Greene got a triple under after 2-3 minutes of playing with one.

I also have a Power Max given to me by Tamara

I like the Power Max as well, but I think for beginners the extra weight can be hard to deal with.

I think either is good, however. The most important part seems to be the swivel, if you can spin the rope quickly you'll be in good shape.

Re: Jumprope of choice for DUs

I use the Valeo Neon rope. It's made of plastic and costs about 5 bucks. I can whip out the dbl unders like no other. I have the powermax also, but I'm faster with the Valeo.

Re: Jumprope of choice for DUs

I've used quite a few ropes, and the Revolution Rope from Again Faster is now my favorite go to rope, they took the ultra speed and enhanced it, LOVE IT.

Re: Jumprope of choice for DUs

OK...I'm all for spending money, especially on gear for CF, but the rope has to be the most overrated. I used to box at a club and they used the cheapos and you should see those guys rock DUs. 100+ without cracking a sweat.

I got this one given to me and I've had it for 7 or 8 years. It does have bearings but is close to as cheap as you can go. Sportcheck has em but I'm sure they are available everywhere. The important feature is simply some weight to the rope (stay clear of the woven ones) If you want leather, make sure it's good quality.
