Me too. All day long I would sit for an hour or two here and there and when I would stand up ... OMG!

I can't believe you did that outside in the TX heat though - mad props to you!!

Oh HELL no I didn't. I should specify: I did it inside on the treadmill! Hope I don't lose too much respect for that. But, it's plain dangerous to run in 107 degrees.

I hear that. I am from DFW and used to play soccer tournies two weekends a month all summer long.

Can you say three games on one day in the middle of July? Plus - is you won - you had two more on Sunday.

Me too ... I was in Atlanta (downtown) and although i had mapped out a course in the city - it didn't look to safe when I checked into my hotel.

Ooh...those soccer games must have been really...fun.

I can imagine there are some shady areas in Atlanta. You travel for work? I think that itvwould be very challenging to keep up workouts on the road. Kudos to you!

Nope - just went down for the weekend w/ the wife and kids plus another couple. We went (the two men) to a promise keepers convention on Saturday and hung out together that night and on Sunday.

I woke up at 5:20 am to get the 15k done. The reason I chose to do it on a hotel treadmill is b/c I had images of being held up at gunpoint ... and that just would have slaughtered my time!!

it was not the nicest part of town ...

Re: run 15k

Dont know if I'm considered a "big guy" or not but at 6'1" 215, I know Im not small.

I do my WOD's about a week behind so I did this one today after about 5 hours of broken sleep at work last night. And the first 5 miles were all hills (kinda odd for this particular area in WI). And I guess it was hot? Oh, yeah, this was the farthest I've ever run by 5k.

Did it in 1:39:22. Every minute sucked. But I did it.

Re: run 15k

Hi John - we are almost neighbors!

The weather was beautiful in Madison Wisconsin yesterday and I owed Coach the 15k run. I did a nine mile run in just slightly better than 81 minutes (my GPS measures in miles, so miles it was). Set the tempo timer to .67 and listened to that cursed beeping for 81 minutes while trying to maintain Pose frame. It made for a boring, relatively painless way to pass the time, although both my big toes are blistered and my hamstrings and calves are pretty fatigued.
