Re: Front Rack Problems with Clients

some poeple just can't do it b/c of leverages, lengths of arms, etc...

if just for front squats then have them do bodybuilder style and cross arms... if they are trying to do things like clean, jerks, thrusters, etc then it is completely possible to do those things without the elbows being way up high... i do those things all the time and my elbows stay almost straight down and the bar still rests on my shoulders and i stay upright...

Time, time, time and stretch those shoulders and wrists.
I'm not going to say that stretching the wrists is a bad thing ... I'm not going to say that KStar's wrist stretch is a bad wrist stretch ... but it is largely an unproductive use of time and energy. If you can do a handstand against a wall and you can do a no-hands front squat then the problem is not going to be found in the wrists. It's the shoulders, specifically the inability to externally rotate the humerus.

Was it you that once posted a vid of Kallista Pappas doing a CnJ w/a really wide but totally effective grip? That was some awesome shoulder flexibility.
